This site does not contain sexually explicit images as defined in 18 U.S.
C. 2256.
Accordingly, neither this site nor the contents herein are covered by the
record-keeping provisions of 18 U.S. C. 2257 (a) - (c). All members are
over 18 years of age. Only Members may access the site.
B.
Though (and since) we have made every effort to make sure our site complies
with U.S.C. 2257, we have made this statement at the bottom of each page
of the site in an effort to comply with both the spirit and the letter of
the law, and to make sure our site continues to comply with the law on an
ongoing basis:
Any non 2257 compliant profile content or the involvement of a minor in chat or IM should be immediately reported to the webmaster via the contact button as well.

Regarding USC 2257, this law does not apply to our site at all, for the following reasons:

All materials in our SHU University Online Bookstore are educational in nature. While sexual themes are dealt with in the text of our books and audio cds, this as such is text only, and educational in nature and thus 2257 does not apply. Any artwork contained in the body of the works or in packaging is fine art, and thus 2257 does not apply to it. Our erotic fine art, screen savers and e-cards, once again are fine art and thus 2257 does not apply.2.
As for our gallery of pictures, that we as owners of the site have personally posted, all are artistic expressions of the adult male form and do not consist of pictures with sexual expression, erect penises, ejaculation, masturbation, or gratuitous close-ups of genitals . As for user submitted pics in our gallery, again all are artistic expressions of the male form. We allow nudity, but again, no sexual expression, no erect penises, no ejaculation, no masturbation, no gratuitous close-ups of genitals are permitted. All users who each have certified themselves to be of age upon joining the site, and are submitting their content according to their communities standards. This user submitted content is screened for 2257 compliance as an added gesture of good intent toward meeting 2257, but the owners of the site are not the primary producers of this content.

As for User profiles, profile videos, and pictures, again: this content is submitted by users of the site who each have certified themselves to be of age upon joining the site. All text, pictures and videos are creations and artistic expressions of the users who have submitted them. If nudity is involved, this is an artistic expression of the male form, and no sexual expression, no erect penises, no ejaculation, no masturbation, no gratuitous close-ups of genitals are permitted. Nor are: scat, urine, underage, bestial, torturous, racially offensive, mean, or unkind text, photos or videos. It’s the user in any photo or video, and if there is anyone else in the photo or video, that other person is an adult, and the member has proof of this (no recordkeeping required though since this is user supplied content and anyway it does not meet the definition of content needing record keeping). I will not submit any material which is copyrighted by anyone other than myself. This user submitted content is screened for 2257 compliance as an added gesture of good intent toward meeting 2257, though the owners of the site are not the primary producers of this content. We are really trying to comply. We as owners of the site are going further than the restrictions the statute places.4.
As for our chat, cam and audio chat and IM with cam and audio features, 2257does not apply to these for the following reasons:a.
These features are individual communications between users, broadcast privately to another user or users only. All users have certified themselves to be 18 years old or older upon joining the site (no visitors are allowed on the site, all must join either as free or paying members. ) By joining the member indicates that they understand they may view sexual expression, they want to view it, and consider it normal and healthy. Further, they certify that they are aware of their local, state and federal laws, and standards of decency and consider that nudity and sexual expression while using this service will not violate these. We are not responsible if they are violating these.b.
Members/users, by joining, indicate that their use of Video/Audio/Text Chat or IM features on our site constitutes a private communication between adults (like a private conversation on the telephone or video phone, or a conference call on the telephone or video phone). Since adult US citizens are guaranteed freedom of speech and expression (including sexual expression) in their private abodes or in private spaces, we allow this on our site between members.

Members/users signify by becoming a member of our site that they will only utilize these features in their abode or in a private space (where minors cannot view), and that they are 18 and won't involve minors in any way with their use of the IM or Chat portion of the site (or any portion of the site for that matter). We are not responsible for where they choose to use their computer, they are. We are released from any liability and any legal implications this might have... they are responsible for that.d..
Thus the communications, whether textual, audio or video, whether mundane or sexual in nature, are covered under freedom of speech and expression guaranteed by US law and constitution to all adults. US citizens and those visiting are free to express ourselves in word thought and deed in our own abodes, via communication devices. Citizens of other countries upon joining the site agree to utilize the service in accordance with the laws and standards of decency in their own communities, states, provinces, cities etc. The pictures audio or text conveyed when users use these features are not broadcast over the net to surfers at large. They are broadcast only to members of our site (who are all adults), and only to those members who choose to view hear or see it.5.
And just to be clear, once again, the owners of the site are not the primary producers of any of these private, user generated broadcasts using any of these features.
